This manual's writer is none other than Toma Grubb who is like us who suffered with the ups and downs of the blood sugar levels. His own account on how he dealt with his diabetic issues is emotionally compelling to say the least.
Amongst the tools Diabetic Diet Secrets will explain for you are the usefulness of omega 3 fish oils, Glycemic Index of foods along with its list of foods, how to manage the ratio of fat, protien and carbs. As for fat, he defined the differences between the good and the bad. Then he has a list of foods that will help reduce the blood sugar level.
All this data helped him to go from near death to regained health with healthy blood glucose levels without having to take medicine. I think every type 2 diabetic who reads this manuscript will benefit from it. The ten things to do for enhanced health that Toma expanded upon are worth their weight in gold.
Then there is the part on adjusting the fiber content for enhanced health. Fiber should be a part of every meal. It will not be tricky to include fiber for every meal as its sources are easily available. Just add chia seed or psyllium husk to your meal, for instance.
To have more fiber for lunch, a legume-based soup is the solution. What for an evening meal? Begin it with a raw vegetable dish. And if you must sauté the vegetables, just do it with garlic, onions and sunflower oil. You think you will get away with fiber-free snacks? No , because to add fiber, you can have wholesome pistachios, cashews, walnuts and almonds. Or eat a fruit like plums, apercots or an apple.
This is just one way Toma's book affected me. It has nudged me to put in writing what I have gleaned from his book. There is also a section on water and correctly so. You will be astonished at the number of merits for water which he enumerated in his book.
